The number one barrier that the unavailability of affordable housing. Roughly a third of all current workers will have to rely solely on their social security to make up their retirement-aged income, and that just does not cover the price of housing, much less all the other cost-of-living expenses as well.
ERC is doing our part to soften this harsh reality. Canterbury Manor has dedicated spots reserved for low-income seniors and St. Andrew’s Place is the only non-profit Assisted Living on the Olympic Peninsula to accept Medicaid on admittance.
